The End of All Things

When life deals from the bottom of the deck

When it cuts the line and steals your go

When it grabs you by the scruff of the neck

You will find out, and you will know

What begins, shall pass

When you lose what you thought was secure

When your saving is plundered by the man

When every hit you take, you endure

You will find out, and you will understand

What begins, shall pass

When the going gets tough, and you are not

When your eyes are crossed and all is skewed

When all your dreams begin to rot

You will find out, with senses renewed

What begins, shall pass

When you gave away the dark in you

When you let all others see through

When you looked like you could do

With a hand here, and there too

You will see, and find the clue

This too, my dear, shall pass
